Worried about how this year's Holiday celebrations are going to turn out?  Couldn't talk your way out of dinner at Aunt Thelma's?  Realizing that you will have to choke down her 7 layer Brussel Sprout casserole (yes, the one with a cream of mushroom soup base) with a smile on your face?  Just being real…you aren't going to be able to control what Thelma serves.  But, we can help ensure you have the perfect wines.

A rich and complex white with a full, round mouthfeel as well as a nice acid backbone.  Aromas of tons of pears with honey, Myer lemon, marmalade, green apple, with hints of vanilla and apricot.  Flavors of pears, pears, and more pears, Myer lemon, grilled pineapple, green apple, and marmalade with subtle mineral/slate undertones.

Here is the ultimate Quiddity vertical Syrah collection.  It is like a hall of fame of Syrahs.  Collectively, they have received some tremendous reviews and great scores.  But, more importantly, they are darn fine wines.  Enjoy our 2019 AUDENTES, 2020 AUDENTES, and 2020 AUDENTES - Block 14 all nestled in an attractive gift box (in winery purchase only, fancy box not available for shipping, sorry).

he 2023 QUOTIDIAN is our first foray into Viogner, one of my favorite white varietals.  It is 100% Viogner from the Royal Slope AVA.  It is produced and aged in stainless steel tank, providing a clean varietal nature with additional complexity.

I remember looking at a wine list at a nice restaurant on the Washington coast and wanting to try something other than Chardonnay.  So, I gave Viogner a try.  It opened a whole new world for me and I remember thinking…”what is this elixir of which I have not heard…Viogner!” (or something like that).  This Viogner has a nose of tangerine, peach, and honeysuckle.  On the palette, it has notes of tangerine, peach, and mango.  It is full, fresh, and bright whether you are a seasoned Viogner pro or a newbee.

The 2021 RHATHYMIA is a crisp and bright white wine with a nice acid backbone.  Aromas of lemon, brioche, flowers such as honeysuckle and jasmine, and a hint of eucalyptus.  It has flavors of (Myer) lemon, lychee, kiwi, and tart apples.  For me, this wine is like going to downtown Seattle.  I live in the suburbs and I don't go to Seattle all very often.  When I do, I always think "this is awesome, I should do this more often."  Being a red wine guy, I don't drink whites all that often.  When I drink this one, I think "…beautiful, complex, bright, lively, and layered…I ought to drink this more often."

The 2022 RHATHYMIA is a medium straw colored, medium bodied, crisp, and bright white wine with a nice acid backbone.  Aromas and flavors of lemon-lime, pineapple, green apple, and pear with a nice long finish.

The 2022 RISIBILITY is a beautiful salmon colored rose wine with medium body, medium acid and a nose and palate of red fruit, strawberries, fruit punch, pomegranate, and cantaloupe.  And, as always, it has a bit of the edgy, nutty, Mourvedre funk.

2019 MELIORA is a medium bodied Rhone style red blend, perfect for summer days, lighter foods, or on its own.  It has a clean nose with aromas of red fruits, black tea, minerals and wet gravel.  It has flavors of red fruits, herbs, mineral, tobacco, slate, and white pepper.  MELIORA tastes like a late afternoon in an exotic land, rejuvenating at a small café after a day of exploring hidden alleys, air heavy with the smell of summer, cooled by an occasional breeze.

A lighter bodied, dry red wine that pairs well with wine (and food).  A classic Grenache wine with a clean nose and aromas of eucalyptus and black tea.  Flavors of pepper, anise, with a slightly vanilla finish.  Or, in the words of a high falutin consultant who helped me out a bit "charming and a style that is "cool" right now and perfect for a summer red. This is a light bodied serious red wine.  We need more wines like this."

A lighter bodied, dry red wine that pairs well with food (and wine).  A humdinger of a Grenache with a clean nose and aromas of graphite, black pepper, cherry, strawberry, leather, and licorice.  Flavors of raspberries and dried strawberries, grapefruit, fennel, prune, juniper, and rosemary, with wonderful "not too hard, not too soft" grenache tannins and mouthfeel..  Well balanced with up front fruit notes followed by a wash of acid for a balanced finish.  At bottling time, I was a bit flummoxed by the lighter color and considered blending with a bit of Syrah.  I am glad I chose not to because this is a very grenachy grenache and has beautiful flavors. 

A classic Rhone Style blend of GSM.  A big, dry wine with elegant, round tannins and a nice mouth feel.  Flavors of licorice, pepper, dried strawberries as well as a bit of leather.  Great with food or as a sipper all by itself.

2020 AMORE is a similar to the 2018 vintage and is a Rhone style GSM blend (SMG actually) with 63% Syrah, 21% Mourvedre, and 16% Grenache.  It is another wonderful, layered Rhone blend with flavors of red and purple fruit, dried herbs, black tea, and leather.  Also has a elegant mouthfeel that is like a nice hug for your tongue.

2020 SAPIT is a medium bodied, dry red wine with a nose of green peppercorn, green chilis, and bramble.  It has a smooth and elegant mouth feel to match.  Whereas the 2019 SAPIT had an essence of green flavors such as Hatch Green chilis, the 2020 has those green flavors balanced by brown flavors; bramble and toasted cumin.  Boy howdy!

The logic behind making a port style wine is the same logic as behind the other wines, I like port so I thought I would give it a try.  The result is a ruby port style wine that is deep, rich, and luscious.  It has a nose of star anise, plum, fruit cake, and gingerbread and flavors of cherry, dates, fruit cake, plum, star anise, caramel, and toffee.  It is a great finish to a meal with some stinky cheese, chocolate, or great on its own.
