The logic behind making a port style wine is the same logic as behind the other wines, I like port so I thought I would give it a try. The result is a ruby port style wine that is deep, rich, and luscious. It has a nose of star anise, plum, fruit cake, and gingerbread and flavors of cherry, dates, fruit cake, plum, star anise, caramel, and toffee. It is a great finish to a meal with some stinky cheese, chocolate, or great on its own.
